I created this quilt to donate to the 2011 HOPE Art Auction, a fundraising event to suppot the Women’s Program of the HIV Center at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. My design was inspired by a calendar photo of dandilion seeds in Spain. As the theme for the event was “Embracing Tomorrow”, I thought, “What better symbols of promise for tomorrow are there than seeds?”
