New Directions

Our local Library has an art show every year that I have entered but never been selected for. Last year I went to view the show and there were two fiber pieces, but they were nothing like the art quilts that I have been doing. They were both single layer with some stitching (but not quilted) and they were framed. The framing makes it seem like more legitimate art. I decided perhaps that’s what I needed to try. The tops of the art quilts is the most fun part any way! Also, some of my quilted pieces have taken so long to complete; this has got to be faster. I did a series of three pieces that I mounted and framed.
