Cotton fabric, raw edge machine appliqued, shaded with acrylic paints, thread sketched with cotton and rayon threads, machine quilted.

This is the first art quilt I ever made. It is based upon a painting by Stuart Yankell that I saw in a magazine. I had no idea what I was doing but had such fun picking out the fabrics to replicate the painting as much as possible. One thrill was actually getting to meet Mr. Yankell several years later at an art fair where he was showing in Highland Park, Illinois.
